Privacy Policy

Inner Sense Psychology is a private psychology practice run by Adam Walker, Registered Psychologist. We are located at The Bolands Centre, 14 Spence Street, Cairns City QLD 4870, and can be contacted at admin@innersensepsychology.com or 0422 218 029. This policy explains how we handle personal information under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

• Contact details, such as your name, email address and mobile number.
• Health and wellbeing information you choose to provide in the suitability check. This is sensitive information under the Privacy Act.
• Technical data, such as the page you visited and the source of your visit (for example UTM campaign details).
• We do not store conversations with the FAQ assistant. It runs in your browser only.

We collect information to respond to your enquiry, consider whether our services fit your needs, arrange appointments, and meet our legal and professional obligations.

We only collect health information with your consent, which you give by ticking the consent box in the suitability check. You can choose not to provide some information, although this may limit how well we can help or respond.

Your information is stored using secure cloud services with access controls, so only authorised practice staff can view it. Some of our service providers may store data outside Australia. We take reasonable steps to protect your information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access. Form answers are never saved in your browser's storage.

We never sell your information. We only disclose it with your consent, to service providers who help us run the practice, or where required or permitted by law (for example, to lessen or prevent a serious threat to someone's life, health or safety).

Enquiries that don't proceed to treatment are deleted after [12 months]. Clinical records are kept for the periods required by law.

We may use analytics tools to understand how the website is used, such as which pages are visited and which steps of the form are completed. These tools do not receive your form answers or chat messages.

You can ask to access or correct the information we hold about you by emailing admin@innersensepsychology.com. We will respond within a reasonable time.

If you have a concern about how we have handled your information, please contact us first so we can try to resolve it. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.
